Authorities say 29-year-old Isaac Nguyen and 34-year-old Joseph Osborne are accused of depositing thousands of dollars in stolen funds into their inmate accounts at the county jail.

They were able to do this using stolen identity and personal information from an unsuspecting victim’s credit card accounts, according to Sergeant Stacy Billings.

Nyugen and Osborne both face new charges of 1st-degree Scheme to Defraud (Class E Felony) and 5th-degree Conspiracy (Class A Misdemeanor).

They’re scheduled to be arraigned in Cortland City Court on December 4.
