Two Freed From Vehicle Rollover on Route 281 Saturday Morning

Right before 7 in the morning on Saturday, February 3rd, Cortlandville Fire responded to Route 281 near the intersection of Luker Road for a reported tractor trailer vs. car with the car rolled over onto its roof.

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were the first to arrive at the scene and confirmed a rollover with two people still trapped inside the vehicle, but reporting minor injuries.

Cortlandville Fire worked quickly to free both occupants of the vehicle. The two occupants were then transported by TLC Ambulance to hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting the Cortlandville Fire Department was the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, University Police at SUNY Cortland, New York State Police and TLC Ambulance.
