Two Car Crash Sends One To Hospital; Speeding Blamed

Cortland County Sheriff Deputies responded Thursday evening at 6:05 pm for a report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection Route 13 and The Park in Cortlandville.

Officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles still in traffic in the southbound lanes.
Route 13 South was closed as they investigated the accident. Deputies say a vehicle traveling southbound was traveling at an unsafe speed and failed to stop in time for another vehicle stopped in traffic.

One person was transported to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Cortland City Police, Cortlandville Fire Department, TLC Ambulance, Ron’s Towing and CNY Towing.
