Two Businesses Awarded Microenterprise Assistance Program Grant Funding

Two more local businesses within Cortland County have been awarded funding through the Microenterprise Assistance Program. Both businesses were approved funding by the Cortland County Legislature during their monthly meeting last night at the County Office Building.

Funding was awarded to Cobblestone Valley Farm on Route 11 in Preble in the amount of $25,300 for the purchase of equipment. The second business was Groove Tattoo Supply, Inc. on Weaver Road in Cortland. They were awarded $9,700 for the purchase of equipment and supplies.

The approval of funding comes after a recommendation was made by the Cortland County Microenterprise Assistance Program Review Committee. The two businesses awarded funding totaled $35,000, which was the remaining balance the county had left through this round of grant funding. In April, the Legislature approved funding for 5 small businesses through this grant funding.
