State Police on Thursday (November 14) arrested two people and removed thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs from multiple locations in Chenango County.
The defendants are 28-year-old Jordan Melendez and 24-year-old Kimberly Rivas, both listed from Pennsylvania.
Found in their possession were 1.5 pounds of Crystal Meth, over an ounce of pure Fentanyl, around 20 pounds of marijuana, 4 handguns and 16 illegally-possessed long guns.
They were also found with scales, packaging materials, approximately $3,350.00 in US currency.
Executing the warrants were members of the Troop C Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), NYSP Special Operations Team (SORT) and Uniformed members of Troop C
Both suspects were arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to Chenango County Jail with no bail.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges are possible.
