Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were called to Walmart in Cortlandville around 4:20 pm on Friday, August 11th for a reported larceny that had taken place.
During the investigation, officers found 32 year old Curtis A. Rice and 28 year old Ashley M. Marshall, both from the Town of Georgetown, had damaged and stolen merchandise from the store.
Both were arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, Conspiracy in the 6th, Criminal Mischief in the 4th, all Misdemeanors.
Marshall was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and faces an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, a Misdemeanor.
Rice and Marshall were transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where they were processed and later released on appearance tickets. Both are due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
