Around 2:30 on Saturday afternoon (August 26th), officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Family Dollar on Route 222 in Cortlandville for a reported larceny.
During the investigation, officers determined 47 year old Samuel J. Swan and 40 year old Adrianne L. Wagoner, both of Virgil, had stolen merchandise from the store.
As both were being taken into custody, officers found both to be in possession of a small amount of drugs. Swan and Wagoner face charges of Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Conspiracy in the 6th, all Misdemeanors.
They were transported to the Sheriff’s Office where they were processed and later released on appearance tickets. Both are due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
