Tully Man Issued Multiple Tickets Following Hit and Run on Route 281

State Police say Troopers responded just before 3:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 9th, of a hit and run crash on Route 281 in Cortlandville. Troopers were able to get a vehicle description of the vehicle that fled the scene.

State Police told X101 News their investigation found a 2024 Chevy pickup and a 2014 Jeep were both driving southbound on Route 281 when the Jeep made a left turn. That’s when State Police say the Chevy pickup attempted to go around the Jeep, but ended up striking the vehicle. The pickup then continued south on Route 281.

The driver of the pickup, 45 year old Brett Alan Stephenson of Tully, was located by police. He was issued multiple tickets as a result of the hit and run. No injuries were reported.
