Tully Cemetery Caretaker Raising Funds For Veteran Flag Markers

The Village of Tully Cemetery caretaker, Chris Weiler, is raising funds for the cemetery for the purchase of over 300 Veteran Flag Markers to be placed at the headstones of Veterans buried at the cemetery.

Weiler has currently set up a GoFundMe page, where he says the cemetery has veterans from the Revolutionary War to present day. The markers cost $20 each and with the need of at least 300 markers, a total price of the markers could exceed $6,000.

Those who can donate are asked to consider donating for at least one or more flag holders. Weiler also says those donating may also name the Veteran to receive the holder.

So far fundraising has raised over $2,200 towards the end goal of $5,850 dollars. If you’d like to make a donation, click HERE.
