Truxton Man Charged With DWI

Just before 7 in the evening on Thursday, April 24th, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle on Route 13 in the Town of Truxton by an officer with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for both vehicle and traffic violations.

The Sheriff’s Office says during the traffic stop, officers determined that the driver, 23 year old Austin R. Taubman of Truxton, was driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, Operating While Registration Suspended, both Misdemeanors, and Drove to Left of Pavement Markings, a Violation.

Taubman was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released on uniform traffic tickets. He is due in Truxton Town Court next month.
