A man from Truxton faces felony charges of Welfare Fraud, Grand Larceny and Offering a False Instrument for Filing .
Cortland County Sheriff’s Investigator Sgt Jason Newcomb says Johnathan Wooding, 33, of Midlum Road, was arrested Wednesday.
An investigation by Newcomb and county DSS showed Wooding provided fraudulent information about his income. He’s accused of receiving more than $14-hundred in benefits he was not entitled to.
His next city court appearance is March 21.
