Truxton Clean-Up Day set for May 30

Local News

This year’s Town of Truxton Residents Clean-Up Day is set for Saturday, May 30.

In order to handle the materials as efficiently as possible and keep everyone safe, officials ask for cooperation with certain items.

Please separate garden hoses and anything similar from collection items, which may be placed in the trash dumpster.

The reason for this is to avoid entanglement with other materials being handled with the bucket loader, which prevents efficient handling.

Town officials also ask that similar items are loaded together and can be more easily unloaded in separate areas. For example, wood items should be separated from steel and tires.

Please stay in your vehicle and allow Transfer Station Personnel to unload items other than recycling and trash.

This will help to comply with social distancing and keep everyone safe.

Recycling and trash items may be unloaded as usual. Normal fees will be charged for tires.

Any questions can be forwarded to the town clerk’s office at (607) 842-6984 or Truxton.Clerk@frontier.com.
