Truck driver flees after hitting marked state trooper in Lisle

Local News

Police are looking for the driver of a tractor trailer that left the scene after sideswiping a state trooper just before 7pm Tuesday on Interstate-81 northbound in the town of Lisle.

The trooper was on the right side of the road near the 34.5 mile marker helping a Broome County Sheriff’s Officer with a traffic crash. Thankfully, they were not inside the vehicle at the time.

After hitting the marked patrol car, the truck driver continued traveling north without stopping.

There is no description of the trailer, but it would have extensive damage to the passenger side.

Anyone that has any information contact New York State Police at Binghamton at (607)775-1241.
