State Police say Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Foster Road in the Town of Homer Sunday evening, September 13th around 9:40pm. Cortland County 9-1-1 Dispatch reported to Troopers of a domestic incident with possible shots fired.
Arriving on scene, Troopers utilized a PA system on their patrol vehicle to order the suspect, identified as 37 year old Jeremiah Robert Rundell of Cortland, out of the residence. State Police say Rundell ultimately complied with orders and was taken into custody.
A victim under the age of 18 was also located by Troopers. State Police say they were uninjured. The investigation found that during a disagreement with the victim, Rundell pointed what appeared to be a firearm and then fired one shot towards the victim. State Police say the victim was able to flee safely from Rundell.
