State Police have announced they issued 150 tickets at a checkpoint on route 13, near the 34/96 split last Friday. (December 3rd)
Troopers, members of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, State Park Police, and Ithaca Police all participated.
The checkpoint was part of a crackdown on fake temporary plates.
Police did check out 11 temporary vehicle registrations, but none were fake.
