The heat continues today with index values expected to range from the low-90s to 100 degrees in parts of Central New York, as well as the Finger Lakes and the Southern Tier regions.
Local advisories have been issued lasting through tomorrow, but those do vary by county.
Cortland County wasn’t included on the advisory, but many of its neighboring counties were.
The full list includes Tioga, Broome, Onondaga, Tompkins, Schuyler, Chemung, Madison, Southern Oneida, Yates, Seneca and Southern Cayuga counties.

The official advisory from the National Weather Service runs from 11 am – 7 pm today.
Afternoon scattered thunderstorms are possible throughout the area during the late afternoon and evening.
Highs tomorrow are expected to max out in the low to mid-80s.
