Trinity Valley Dairy And Seven Valleys Food Rescue Announce Partnership to Fill Local Food Pantries
Trinity Valley Dairy has announced they are partnering with the Seven Valleys Food Rescue to collect non-perishable foods for local food pantries with a two-day food drive beginning tomorrow, Thursday November 6th. The food drive will take place at the Seven Valleys Food Rescue Hub located at 174 Homer Ave. in Cortland.
The drive will take place from 5pm to 6pm on Thursday and then 12pm to 2pm on Friday, November 7th. All non-perishable food donations will be accepted.
“We’re already delivering fresh dairy to help local families, but pantries need more variety to meet the growing need,” said Branden Brown of Trinity Valley Dairy. “The state may step in with temporary funding, but we don’t want to wait. Cortland County has always taken care of its own and now’s the time to show up again.”
All items collected will be distributed directly to local food pantries by Seven Valleys Food Rescue. The drive by Trinity Valley and the Seven Valleys Food Rescue is an initiative to help those affected by the SNAP benefit disruption.
Those with questions about donating perishable food should contact Seven Valleys Food Rescue directly.
