Travel Advisory Remains in Effect For Cortland County
Cortland County Sheriff Mark Helms has lifted the No Unnecessary Travel Warning for Cortland County, but says a Travel Advisory remains in effect for Monday. Helms says current road conditions, possible debris, and overall dangerous conditions caused by some roadways not cleared yet. The advisory will continue until 7 pm today, Monday.
The advisory does not prohibit travel, but if you must drive, plan ahead, ensure your vehicle is fueled, phone charged, dressed for the weather, and you’ve let someone know where you are going.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Binghamton says additional snow accumulations are around 1 and 2 inches for Monday, but temperatures are only expected to reach a high of 18F. This evening, temperatures are expected to fall around 0 with a 5 to 10 mph wind. The wind will bring wind chills to -6F.
