Travel Advisory for Cortland County – No Unnecessary Travel

Cortland County Sheriff Mark E. Helms has issued a No Unnecessary Travel Advisory.

This No Unnecessary Travel Advisory is in effect until 4:00 PM. This travel advisory does not restrict travel.

It is, however, a warning to motorists that hazardous driving conditions may exist.

With the recent snow squal, accompanied by strong, gusty winds, drifting snow on county and state roads will make travel more dangerous. County and State Highway crews are working to clear roads.

If travel is necessary, it is encouraged to use extreme caution and lower your speeds while traveling in or around Cortland County.
