Traffic Stop in Virgil Leads to Arrest of Driver For DWI

Just before 3 in the morning on Tuesday, December 31st, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle by an officer with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office on Route 215 in Virgil. The Sheriff’s Office says their officer observed a violation of vehicle and traffic laws.

During the traffic stop, the officer determined the driver, 29 year old Casey B. Littler of Cortland, was driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI .08% BAC or more of alcohol, both Misdemeanors, and numerous infractions.

Littler was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released on appearance tickets. He is due in Virgil Town Court later this month.
