Driving on Route 281 from Homer to Cortland you might’ve seen the signs saying “Expect Delays.. Beginning on 8/15.” X101 reached out to the New York State Department of Transportation who reported it is planned construction of a gas line.
Expected to begin this Monday, August 15th, with weather permitting. Crews will begin to work a gas line installation from Fisher Ave. to the Village of Homer line.
Lane restrictions will be in place with single lane alternating traffic. Traffic delays are expected with this construction project.
