Construction crews will ramp up effort along Route 281 for a gas line installation between Fisher Ave. to Copeland Ave. with traffic delays expected.
Road work will restrict the northbound lane, which will cause the closure of the northbound lane. Flaggers will be in place directing traffic.
Traffic congestion will be heavy at times due to the I81 on/off ramp and incoming students to SUNY Cortland later this week.
An alternative route to use is US Route 11 (Homer Ave.). No projected end date was announced as progress will be determined by weather conditions.
