The icy roads on Route 41 yesterday proved too much for a tractor trailer driver as their truck slid off the road and into an embankment. The truck partially blocked Route 41 for about an hour before it was towed out.
State Police were assisted by the Homer Fire Police in shutting down Route 41 between Cutler road and Country Lane. No injuries were reported during the accident and the road was able to reopen around 11am.
