The Towns of Dryden and Ithaca will celebrate the opening of the Game Farm Road crossing that is located between the Dryden Rail Trail and the East Ithaca Recreation Way this Saturday, May 20th, at 12pm.
The opening will officially connect the two popular trails together. The trail is open for walkers, runners, or those riding bicycles. Garm Farm Road though will be closed during the event to allow for a symbolic gate opening in the middle of the road at the trail crossing.
During the gate opening, there will be family-friendly activities, music and snacks, and a few remarks from those who were able to make the crossing possible.
Along with the Towns of Dryden and Ithaca, organizers from Bike Walk Tompkins, the Finger Lakes Runners Club and the Finger Lakes Cycling Club will also be in attendance.
