Town of Taylor Man Arrested After Threatening Person With Crowbar

Just before 12:30 in the afternoon on Monday, July 1st, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Factory Drive in the Town of Taylor for a reported disturbance.

After officers arrived on scene and began their investigation into the disturbance, it was determined 51 year old Clayton R. Deiss of Taylor, has displayed a crowbar in a threatening manner towards an individual.

Officers arrested Deiss and charged him with Menacing in the 3rd, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th, both Misdemeanors. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released on his own recognizance.

Deiss is due in Taylor Town Court later this month.
