A town of Scott man last week had inappropriate sexual contact with a 13-year-old who was known to him, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Inv./Sgt. Chad Burhans says deputies were first called to a residence in Scott last Thursday (February 20), which initiated an investigation that led to the arrest of 29-year-old Lee Wagner, of Cold Brook Road, who turned himself in without incident.
The crime reportedly occurred outside a residence in Scott.
Wagner was charged with three felonies including 2nd-degree Rape (Class D), 2nd-degree Criminal Sex Act (Class D) and 2nd-degree Criminal Sale of Marijuana (Class D Felony).
He was also hit with a Class A misdemeanor for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Following his arraignment, Wagner was released to the Alternatives to Incarceration program and is due back in Town of Scott Court on March 3.
