Town of Homer Unveils New Website For Better Accessibility
The Town of Homer has a newly redesigned website. The website, TownofHomerNY.gov, has been redesigned for residents and visitors to it to have greater accessibility. Those include information on permits, licenses, paying taxes, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
On the website’s main page, visitors can see a calendar of upcoming meetings for the town, village, and town court. The redesigned website also shares a history of Homer, including the history of the Town Hall.
Website developer, Frank Davi, of CNY Webs, provided an overview of the website for board members and those in attendance. Davi has worked with Town Clerk Brooke Poli on what the priorities were for the website. There were two main goals for the website, it being easily navigable, and allowing the town themselves to update the website when needed.
In addition to a new website, the town also has a new Facebook page, Town of Homer New York.
Supervisor Mike Park says the new website was a goal of his since taking the Supervisor position since the retirement of Fred Forbes.
