Last Thursday, April 20th, around 6:20 pm, officers from the Sheriff’s Office were called to Walmart in Cortlandville for a reported larceny that had taken place within the store.
Officers began their investigation and were able to determine 59 year old Michael J. McCauslin of the Town of Homer, had failed to render any type of payment for the merchandise before he exited the store.
He was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. McCauslin was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released on an appearance ticket. He is expected to appear in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
