Town of Cortlandville Works on Final Steps Towards Finishing Concessions Building
The Town of Cortlandville held a special meeting yesterday afternoon at the Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building regarding fishing work needed at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex.
Yesterday’s special meeting, the board voted unanimously to rescind town board Resolution #58 of 2025, which was adopted back on February 5th, Board member Sunday Earle was not present to vote. The resolution gave Town Supervisor Greg Leach authority to solicit a request for proposals for additional work that is currently required at the concession building located at the sports complex.
Next, the board voted to authorize Supervisor Leach to solicit bids for the Concession Building ADA Compliance Adjustment and Conference Room/Offices Refinement. Leach says the bid will go out on March 1st, with any bids due by the 18th in order to allow the town to award the bid for the project during their March 19th meeting.
Supervisor Leach says this is the final step towards opening the concession building at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex and will allow them to obtain a certificate of occupancy for the building.
