Town of Cortlandville to Have New Website Domain Soon – Grievance Day Coming Up

Cortlandville Town Clerk, Kristin Rocco-Petrella announced during Wednesday’s evening Town Board meeting that the Town of Cortlandville will soon have a new website domain. The town, under new state requirements, will change their domain name from a .org to a .gov domain. The state requires municipalities to have a .gov domain and have until the end of the year to changeover. She added once the new domain name is set, which will be Cortlandville.gov, the town will also have new email addresses, similar to the changeover Cortland County had late last year.

Cortlandville residents are also being reminded of an upcoming Grievance Day, which will be on Tuesday, May 27th. The event will be from 4 to 6pm and then 7pm to 9pm at the Peter Alteri Jr. Municipal Garage. During the Grievance Day, residents will have the opportunity to express any assessment complaints to the Board of Assessment Review. It is also the last day property owners may file a formal complaint seeking a reduction in their tentative assessments. More information may be found at Cortlandville.org.
