Town of Cortlandville Abandons Osbeck Circle to Make Way For Byrne Dairy Expansion
The Town of Cortlandville will abandon Osbeck Circle. The resolution to abandon the street was made during Wednesday’s Town Board meeting. The abandonment of the street will allow Byrne Dairy to move forward with their planned major expansion of their facility on Byrne Hollow Crossing.
Osbeck Circle currently serves only as the entryway of Byrne Hollow Crossing since its construction back in 2014. The street was constructed when the Finger Lakes East Business Park was first established. Plans for the Byrne Expansion show a new entry way will be constructed on the west side of the property connecting to Byrne Hollow Crossing. Where Osbeck Circle is now will be the new expansion.

Byrne plans three more phases to their facility in the town. Phase 2, expected to break ground soon, and will be split into Phase 2A and 2B. Phase 2A will be a 26,000 square foot expansion to the existing facility and will take about 8 to 9 months to construct. For Phase 2B, this would be about 75,000 square feet and is likely to begin sometime late Spring/Summer 2026.
The official abandonment of the street will take place by the end of this week after being signed off by the Town Clerk, Town Supervisor, and Town Highway Superintendent.
