Tompkins County Sheriff Make Drug And Weapons Arrest After Traffic Stop in Groton

Just before 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 22nd, officers from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Peruville Road in the Town of Groton.

During the traffic stop, officers saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, which then led to the officers searching the car and of the driver. During the search officers found 12 grams of powder cocaine, four baggies of crack cocaine, eight baggies of heroin, a scale, ledger, and packaging materials.

The driver, identified as 62 year old Tyrone M. Little was arrested by officers on scene. Tompkins County Sheriff deputies then went to his home, located at 49 Stevens Road where they found a loaded Glock model 23 with 22-round magazine, a Smith and Wesson .38 Cal. revolver, a .223 cal. Assault Rifle “Upper:, nearly 81 additional grams of powder cocaine, more packaging materials and further evidence of the sale of drugs.

Little was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd, Heroin/Cocaine with the Intent to Sell, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd for the large capacity magazine, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd for the Smith and Wesson, all Felonies.

At the time of the release, Little was awaiting arraignment.
