Tompkins Cortland Community College Recognizes Over 120 Students During December Graduation
Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) has recognized 123 students who have completed their degree or certificate during the schools 22nd Graduates Recognition Ceremony last Friday. The event’s keynote speaker was Professor Kerry Curran.
The December Graduates Recognition Ceremony began back in 2002 as a way for the school to celebrate students who graduate after the fall semester, and for those who would not be able to return for the traditional graduation ceremony in May. Graduates from the fall semester are still invited to attend the graduation ceremony in May, TC3 says.
Student Government Association President Kyleigh Golden-Appleton was the student speaker, TC3 said in a release.
“We each have been led to this moment on different paths, having different goals and focuses, facing different challenges, being give different opportunities,” Golden-Appleton said. “After this moment we will continue on our own paths, pursuing our own callings. But for tonight, we share in a special moment, a moment of celebration.”
