Bidding wraps up today for the Hartnett School Building in Truxton.
Final bids on the school property are due this afternoon. As of this morning, only one bid was posted online.
The Homer Board of Education rejected an outright offer on the property last week. They did not disclose the offer amount or who made the offer.
The property is appraised at $1.4 million dollars. The market value is listed at $400 thousand dollars.
The district owes over a half million dollars in outstanding debt on the property.
The high bidder will pay the auction company a 10% buyers fee. The school board will have to meet to accept or reject the high bid. If they reject the bid the district must pay a $5 thousand dollar fee.
