The U.S. Department of Agriculture says there is still time for farmers to be counted in the 2022 Census of Agriculture even with the deadline already passing.

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will still accept completed census questionnaires through this spring to ensure all farmers are able to take advantage of the opportunity to be represented in data.

“My sincere appreciation is extended to all the producers who have completed the census to date. Without participation from producers like you, the census data cannot accurately reflect the health and well-being of U.S. agriculture,” said NASS Northeastern Regional Director King Whetstone.

Follow up will continue by NASS through this spring with mailings, phone calls, and personal visits to producers. Farmers are also encouraged to complete their AG census online by clicking HERE or by mailing it in.
