Tickets For YWCA of Cortland’s Chefs Take a Stand Increase This Thursday – Event Happening October 2nd

The YWCA of Cortland is still selling tickets for their 5th annual Chefs Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence on Wednesday, October 2nd from 6 to 8pm at The Lookout at Hope Lake in Virgil. Tickets prices for the event will increase this Thursday, September 26th to $55 a person. Tickets are currently available through Wednesday at $50. A maximum of 250 tickets will be sold for the fundraising event.

“While this unique event raises fun, it also raises funds for Cortland County’s only comprehensive domestic violence program,” said Jessica Smith, Director of YWCA Cortland’s Aid to Victims of Violence (AVV) program. “The event, held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, highlights the incredible work of our AVV staff and the crucial need for their services.”

Dishes from around 20 to 25 local community leaders will be available with them competing to be voted “Best Chef” and win the coveted purple apron. Live music will also be provided with Tribal Revival and beer and wine samples from Homer Hops Brewing and Thirsty Owl Wine Company.

More information on the event and where to purchase tickets can be found on the YWCAs website HERE.
