Three Dorms Owned by TC3 Foundation Look to be Sold

The Tompkins Community College Foundation, owners of the dormitories on the TC3 campus, are planning to put the dormitories on the market. The TC3 Foundation owns all the dormitories on campus as New York State law does not allow a community college themself to own any type of housing.

Public Information Officer for TC3, Peter Voorhees, told X101 News the foundation currently owns 7 residence halls. He added that demand for that many beds for students attending TC3 is no longer there. The TC3 Foundation will retain four of the buildings and will look to put on the market the three newest buildings built, Cascadilla, Seneca, and Tioughnioga. All are located on the south side of campus with road access from campus and to Livermore Road.

The TC3 Foundation looks to put the three buildings on the market by the end of this summer. All three properties will be listed without a specific asking price.
