Local News

Cortland Police report the arrest of Dylan Ingrahm of Cortland on Sunday at 12:40 am.

Officers say Ingrahm broke a passenger side mirror on a vehicle, then removed a screen from a window and climbed into a residence on Pendleton Street.

He entered a room where a 9-year-old child was sleeping, according to the police report. Ingrahm was described as highly intoxicated and didn’t know what street he was on.

He was released after being ticketed for Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is to return to court on August 23.

Two men are accused of three burglaries on the same day on Reynolds Avenue in Cortland.

Cortland Police arrested Jamie Coville, 20, and James Perone, 21, both of Cortland.

They were arrested July 28 at about 11:30 pm and charged with Burglary and Petit Larceny for burglaries that occurred on Wednesday.

Police say the pair stole three televisions at one home on Reynolds, a cell phone from another home, and did not take anything from the third home. Police say the total value of the property taken was less than $1,000.

According to Cortland Police Lt. Rick Troyer, they were sent to the Cortland County Jail with no bail awaiting a court appearance today (Mon July 31).
