Three Arrested For Shoplifting in Separate Investigations at Walmart

Three more people are facing Petit Larceny charges after officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Walmart in the Town of Cortlandville for larceny complaints. One is facing additional drug charges.


Around 3:45 in the afternoon on Friday, June 7th, officers responded to the store for a reported larceny complaint. An investigation found 61 year old Ellen A. King of the Town of Solon, had stolen merchandise from the store. She was charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. King was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was released on an appearance ticket. She is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.


Later that day, around 7pm, officers returned to Walmart for another larceny complaint. The investigation by officers determined 34 year old Erin A. Mann of Cortland, had stolen from the store. As she was being taken into custody, she was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Mann was take to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, both Misdemeanors.

She was processed and later released on an appearance ticket and is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.


On Sunday, June 9th, around 3:45pm, officers again responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. An investigation into the complaint determined 60 year old Aleathia L. Duvall of Ithaca, has stolen from the store. Duvall was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was later released on an appearance ticket. She is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
