Cayuga County Sheriff’s Officers responded last Wednesday (April 11) to a report of a robbery at Fire Lane One in the Town of Moravia. The investigation determined that the victim had been lured to that location where he was then physically assaulted and his property was stolen from him.

After an investigation, the suspects were 21 year old Trent Goodrich, 32 year old Brittany Ludwig, both from Wolcott, and another suspect, who is an unnamed juvenile male.

The juvenile male was arrested on May 6th and appeared in the Youth Part of Court of Cayuga County and was then released following the appearance.

The Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office then obtained warrants for the arrests of Ludwig and Goodrich.

On May 7th, The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by law enforcement in Georgia who informed them they had arrested Trent Goodrich on unrelated charges and had him in their custody. He will be extradited back to Cayuga County to face his charges.

Brittany Ludwig was taken into custody on May 11th by the New York State Police in Wayne County following another unrelated investigation there. She was too turned over to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and was charged and processed on the warrant and appeared in the CAP Court where she was then remanded to the Cayuga County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
