The Marathon and McGraw 2018-19 school budgets will be presented tonight at meetings of each district’s Board of Education.
The Marathon Budget is proposed at $18.2 million, up about $391,000 from last year, or 2.19%.
The overall Marathon School Tax Levy Increase is 1%.
The District and its Teachers Union also have a new contract. Teachers raises are 3.8%, 3.5% and 3.25% and they pick up more of the co-pay costs for prescriptions.
The location of tonight’s meeting was changed to the Appleby Elementary Cafeteria.
The proposed McGraw School Budget that goes before the Board of Education for approval tonight is at $12.5-million, up $389,000 from last year, or about 3.21%.
The tax levy increase is 2%.
School enrollment is projected to increase slightly.
