April 15th is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, a week to highlight the many contributions emergency dispatchers do for public safety and emergency response.
The job as a dispatcher is considered to be not only a highly demanding job, but one of extreme importance. Dispatchers impact the wellbeing of residents, students, and visitors in the communities they serve.
The job is unseen to many in the community, but provides critical information to first responders and the support they need when responding to a call.
