A Broome County man was arrested over the weekend with a stolen vehicle for the third time in 11 days – twice in Cortland County and once more in Tioga County.
The most recent occasion was early Saturday (February 15) morning.
23-year-old Christian Wilson of Broome County, who was picked up once again early Saturday morning in the town of Virgil.
Deputies with the Cortland County Sheriffs responded to a potential stolen vehicle report just past 3 a.m on Interstate 81 in Virgil, arriving to find an abandoned 2012 Cadillac CTS on the side of the roadway which had been reported stolen in the city of Binghamton.
A search began and soon led to the discovery of 23-year-old Christian Wilson, of Endicott, who was walking along Route 11 when authorities took him into custody once again.
Wilson was also arrested February 7 and 14 for two separate incidents in Cortland and Tioga Counties, both involving stolen vehicles, trespassing and home burglaries
He was apprehended on Saturday without incident and charged with third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, awaiting arraignment at the time of the official news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
