Think you know baseball?
The 1890 House Museum has three different opportunities to check out Vintage Baseball this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday.
They have an open workshop and game Saturday morning. They’ll be taking over Greg’s Field at Beaudry Park in Cortland – the workshop runs from 10:30 – 11:30, and the game will be roughly from 12:00 – 2:30.
Can’t make the morning? Come to Center for the Arts of Homer at 3pm to see Vintage Baseball expert Eric Miklich, as he explores the beginning evolution of baseball.
Both events are admission free, and open to the public.
On Sunday, July 1st, at 6pm, head down to the 1890 House Museum to hear local baseball historian Tony Kissel speak on the history of baseball in Cortland.
Cortland has seen a wide variety of teams throughout the years.
Currently, the collegiate baseball team the Cortland Crush in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) plays at Beaudry Park. The team has players from across the country on the roster.
