Skiers and boarders may be able to do something they probably didn’t have too many opportunities for last year.
Both Greek Peak and Song Mountain report they are making snow.
Song Mountain posted on its website that it plans to be open 10 am to 4 pm on Wednesday and Greek Peak is hoping to open on Friday.
Both resorts hope this early snow is a sign of a winter with a little more snow than last year.
A statement provided by Greek Peak read: “Our focus is on Elysian Fields and Stoic, intermediate trails, along with Alpha Slope which is a beginner trail,” says Wes Kryger, President of Greek Peak Mountain Resort. Kryger added, “hill operations will also be focusing snowmaking at the Tubing Center, opening with 4-6 lanes.”
Greek Peak’s Tubing Center has up to 20 lanes.
Snowmaking will continue through “White Friday” as temperatures permit. (Photos from Greek Peak)
