
Current Governor Kathy Hochul and front runner Lee Zeldin declared winners in their respective parties’ primaries last night.
Statewide for the Democratic primary, incumbent Kathey Hochul has been declared the winner – she won handily over Jumaane Williams and Thomas Suozzi with 574,608, 67.6% of the vote.
For the Republican primary it was Lee Zeldin with 193,184 votes, or 44.1% of the vote over Andrew Giuliani, Rob Astorino and Harry Wilson.
And front-runner for Lt. Governor, Antonio Delgado was on top with 490,383, with 60.8% of the vote for the democratic primary. The Republican race was uncontested with Alison Esposito.
Here in Cortland County, results were the same as statewide, with incumbent Kathy Hochul on top for the Democrats and Lee Zeldin for the Republicans. Results for Cortland are from the County Board of Elections.
And voters did come out yesterday in Cortland with around 4,000 votes being counted, according to the Cortland County Board of Elections.
These results are unofficial. Absentee ballots will be counted but it’s expected these results will not change
