SUNY Cortland has announced the return of “The Big Event”, which is a student led community service project. The overall goal is to have one “Big” day of service for the community that SUNY Cortland is part of.
The day is expected to take place on Sunday, April 23rd. Sunday was chosen so students who may be on a sports team can also be able to take part in the community service. Students will begin at the school for a “kick-off” and then head out throughout the area to work on a project.
So far, over 300 students have signed up for “The Big Event” and projects still needed. For residents or businesses that may have some sprucing up outside, organizing or may need help with a project inside, painting, etc. You may fill out a job request form by clicking HERE.
The Big Event is a student-led community service project by the SUNY Cortland SGA, with their goal to bring students, faculty, and staff together to complete one big day of service for their community.
