Our Congresswoman, Claudia Tenney, was in Cortland on Monday.
After speaking to a Chamber breakfast, she visited the Cortland County Community Action Program.
Media were not invited.
Tenney says she learned about Head Start, Energy Services, WIC, Snack Pack, Adult Learning and Family Essentials.
She says the work they do changes lives and gives hope to our community.
Later Monday, the Congresswoman toured Square Deal Machining, Inc., in Marathon, to learn more about their work.
The high-tech machining company has grown to more than 300 employees.
According to Tenney, Square Deal constantly invests in its customers and equipment, making them a leader in their industry.
