TC3 Reports Increased Enrollments to Cortland County Legislature

During Thursday’s full legislative session for Cortland County, Tompkins Cortland Community College President Dr. Amy Kremenek provided an update on the school.


Dr. Kremenek informed the legislature that for the fall 2023 semester, enrollment is up 15% and total student enrollment up by 14.1%. For the 2023-2024 year, applications to attend TC3 were up by over 60%.

A majority of the applications came from prospective students in both Cortland and Tompkins County. The next largest area for applications were the surrounding counties of Cortland and Tompkins.

New programs were also announced, those were: Direct Support Provider I, Direct Support Provider II, and Micro-Nano Fabrication Safety (in line for the future of Micron in our area).

Bill Talbot from Tompkins Cortland Community College also spoke on the school’s progress in facilities improvements such as the lab update, network replacement, sidewalk and parking lot work, and upgrading the mass notification system. He continued to state the school is moving in the right direction for financial stability.
