TC3 Professor Earns Community College Internationalization Fellowship

TC3 announced on Thursday that a one of their professors has won a Community College International Fellowship (CCIF).

Christine Evans, an adjunct associate Spanish professor, has been assigned with creating a literature supplement for TC3’s Beginning Spanish II course through Cornell University’s world areas studies programs. With prior CCIF fellowship experience – having previously worked on integrating digital content into Spanish classes during the COVID-19 impacted academic years – Evans hopes to also find readings useful in other courses as well.

“Often, beginning language courses don’t have a literature component,” said Evans. “I wanted to work on compiling level-appropriate authentic texts to use in my class.”

Cornell’s began the CCIF program with TC3 began during the 2019-20 season, when three faculty members were awarded fellowships. TC3 has received ten fellowships since the start of the program.
